Content as the driving force
The teaching resources I will be using in the private lessons depend on your goals and interests. I will prepare lessons which are individualised and personalised but there is nothing speaking against using a course book, especially if you are planning to learn a language from the beginning, if you are at a lower-intermediate level or if you prefer to have a more structured approach to learning the language. But we will discuss this in more detail during the initial consultation session.
However, no matter which resources we will be using during your lessons, my focus will be on making it interesting and fun for you. As I have stated on other pages of the website, the content will be the main driving force which keeps you motivated while you are in the process of learning a language. That does not mean that I will not challenge you during the lessons or that everything will be easy, because you will face difficulties or struggle at times, but being motivated will make the process easier for you.
I use all forms of media to enrich the lessons with authentic material. Many of my lessons are based on video sequences from documentaries, TED talks, TV series or films. I also frequently use songs in my lessons because they are a good way of integrating listening, pronunciation and vocabulary learning but they are also a good way to learn grammar and look deeper into the cultural aspects of a country.
