I was born in Argentina into a family where several languages were spoken: English, Spanish, Italian and French. It's always been really easy for me to learn languages. I find them logical, entertaining and most importantly, they have allowed me to see the world from a completely different perspective. I've lived and taught English and Spanish abroad and have witnessed how much people struggle to learn a language. It's sometimes sad to see that some languages academies still fill the backpacks of their students with grammar books, dictionaries, lists of regular and irregular verbs. And still their students cannot master a language after taking lessons for over 5 or 6 years. In my opinion most of these academies fail because they don't teach languages in a more natural way: instead of putting their students to speak and actively use the target language, they sit their students at a table to do boring grammar exercises or have them memorise thousands of rules that, in real life, native speakers of whatever language have not clue about.
